Bible Stories for Preschoolers – Book Review

Share Button

Looking for a Bible for a child who doesn’t read well is difficult. I have found their either small books with a few of the Bible stories or books which look more like a Bible that have lots of words and few pictures. This week Tyndale House Publishers provided me with a complimentary copy of Bible Stories for Preschoolers.

“Released September 2011, Bible Stories for Preschoolers, written by a team of preschool church education experts, makes the Bible come alive for young children. The dynamic, high-energy, vibrant illustrations featured on every spread will capture children’s imaginations while giving them a lifelong love for God’s Word. In addition to the retellings, each story includes fun, easy activities that parents and kids can do together. The activities help kids remember and relate to the stories!”

When the package arrived this week, my daughters and I were excited to rip apart the packaging. As I uncovered the book my youngest who is 5 actually gasped and yelled “Look Mama, it’s Jesus!”

That was a great start.
This is a wonderful book, my daughter is in Grade 1 and can read some of the words but it’s really the illustrations which bring it to life for her. She spends hours with this fantastic book, we read the stories together and then I hear her saying them again to herself as she looks at the images.

I would totally recommend this fantastic book, head out to your local bookstore or it’s available here at Amazon.ca.

Although Tyndale House Publishers did provide me with a copy of the book, I’m not being paid for this review. I sincerely love this book and wanted to share about it.

Thanks Julie, this sounds like a great book. My wife and one of my daughters are preschool teachers. I’ll pass this info on to them.

God bless and have a great weekend! :-)
