Welcome back friends, we’re just over two weeks into 2012 and it’s time to check in with the changes we’d resolved to make.
I’ve decided to lose weight and have been using the 17 Day Diet to achieve this.
Motivated Monday is a spot where you can track your progress, link up your blog or just get some inspiration.
If you leave me permission I’d be happy to list your ongoing results within a post!

This past week wasn’t as easy as the first, I’m really missing carbs to say it politely. I know this is a short-term cleanse but my subconscious hasn’t quite accepted it. I’ve still been making lunches for the girls and the temptation to eat the light rye bread I love has been strong….but I overcame it. The cheese I didn’t, I admit it….I ate two small slices of cheddar.
All in all it was a good week for me, again I managed to become very well acquainted with my washroom because of my water intake. So much so that now I’m planning a renovation.
I enjoyed dishes such as Spicy Ground Chicken Italian Chilli
Countless egg white omelettes filled with veg…
This is a lovely chicken breast with a sugar/carb free sauce, mashed cauliflower and carrots.
A veggie-rich ground turkey soup
Tonight I really enjoyed a chicken curry on a bed of mashed cauliflower but didn’t have time to take photos, I’ll make it again.
What are my results?
After such a huge loss of 11 lbs last week I thought this week I might not see a weight loss.
I am happy to announce I’m down another 4 lbs!
These are fantastic results but I have to be honest I’m glad my 17 days are up on Wednesday. I then enter the next phase which introduces lean red meats and fiber enriched carbs.
So tell me, how did you do?
Don’t forget to let me know in the comments if you would like me to list your achievements here in the post….or you can simply email me.
I’m please to share the awesome people who are also committed to change, go on over and see their progress:

I didn’t do the 17 day diet, more of a low fat version of South Beach. I’m down 12 lbs in 14 days… And I’m excited to move back to some carbs today… The ketones were starting to make me nutty… ;)
My total goal is 30 lbs by May (and abs that I wouldn’t be ashamed to go to the beach in a bikini in for Memorial Day week…)
Oh I’m with you, ketosis is a weird feeling but I only have a few days to carbs! GREAT weight loss sister.
ive been working on my goal to get into bikini shape for my Mexico trip in Feb since November and I’ve had some set backs but I think I’m getting there! Good work on your weight loss. It’s tough!
Way to go Kelly, it’s amazing how motivating a trip can be.
