Last year we redecorated Chelsea’s room into a pink wonderland, I don’t know if there’s any room she could love more than she loves hers. Sydney was promised that we’d get around to her room the following Fall…..well its a year and a half past that promised date and we’ve finally begun the project.
Sydney has dreamed of having a surfer room, of course to her that means actual palm trees, boards and sand on her floor. To me this means the laminate flooring will represent the sand, I’ll get a funky mat and paint the upper walls a cool teal blue shade. We are mounting a wake board above her bed in lieu of a headboard, hey here in Suburbia, Ontario we rarely find surfboards!
Choosing the bedding wasn’t easy, Sydney isn’t a girly girl nor was she into the typical “surfer” print bedding we found online. We finally found the perfect choice on Beyond Bedding’s website. Their kids bedding page is so easy to use, it’s separated by gender, color and theme. If you can’t find what you like in their stock products, they also make custom childrens bedding. For those of you with other children, not to worry you’ll find everything your child is looking for in the custom teen bedding section.
It was so refreshing to sit with Sydney and have her make a choice easily, she’s not usually fun to shop with and takes forever to make a final decision….but this time she fell in love with the Deco Dot Modern Teen Bedding. I was tempted to order the entire set but curbed myself to the bedding and bed skirt for the time being.
I love this set, the colors are so fresh! See that teal green, that’s the color we’re going to paint the top half of her room.
When it arrived the excitement level was ridiculously high, and then Sydney came home from school and I had someone to share my excitement with! The bedding is wonderful, it’s well made with higher quality fabrics and attention to detail.
We’ve painted the bottom half of her room and wanted to wait to use her new bedding but Sydney was eager, here she is showing off her new set.
You really should check out Beyond Bedding if you’re planning on purchasing a bedding set in the near future, their quality is wonderful and selection is huge. They do ship to Canada and the fees won’t break the bank.
