Strawberry Limeade – A Delicious Drink Recipe for This Heatwave

Share Button

We are experience a heat wave here in Ontario (resounding applause from all the winter-weary folks here) which means we’ve been drinking copious amounts of water to stay hydrated. I feel like my back teeth are floating from the agua, thus today I’m making batches of my new summer drink to enjoy poolside.

Strawberry Limeade Drink Recipe

strawberry limeadeIngredients:

  •  1 cup ice
  • 3 cups frozen strawberries (clean and hull if using fresh)
  • 4 Tbsp concentrated Lime juice
  • 3 cups chilled sparkling water
  • 5 fresh strawberries for garnish
  • Sugar to taste if so desired

Preparation:

  • Place first 3 ingredients in a blender; process until smooth (include sugar if desired).
  • Pour strawberry mixture into pitcher or about 1/2 cup into each glass.
  • Slowly pour chilled sparkling water into each glass; or pitcher gently stir to combine.
  • Garnish with quartered strawberries berries, if desired.

This is a crowd favorite here and I hope your family enjoys it as much as ours does!!

That looks delicious and we could sure use it. We too are having a bit of a heat wave, although not as bad as Ontario has been experiencing. Stay cool!!

Oh that looks absolutely delicious! I think we were both on the same page with making some type of drink involving lime, especially with this heat we’ve been getting!

I don’t know how/who selects banner ads but my page has an ad for Smirnoff! Isn’t it ironic?

I’m with you – southwestern Ontario – in the heat wave. Today is a bit milder. Drink looks great. I don’t have lime concentrate so will add lime juice to taste and reduce water if necessary.

I’m south of you in Ohio, but we are having a heat wave too. As I’ type this, my niece, who was visiting, is whipping up a batch of this drink. I’m so glad I bought strawberries at the grocery this morning. YUM!
