Well it’s a beautiful day here in suburbia, possibly because it’s the kids first day back to school and silence has reclaimed my home. Nothing wrong with Mom doing high-kicks in her minds eye as she waves the kids off at the door right? Of course if I really want to achieve a high-kick in real life I’d better get going with my weight-loss efforts.
It’s the beginning of getting routine back to normal and with it I’m implementing some new routines. I’m restarting my Motivated Monday articles. For those who aren’t familiar I began Motivated Mondays last year when I committed to getting moving and weight loss.
Each week I’ll be sharing my efforts, I’m determined to use these articles to keep me accountable. I’ve committed to the 90 Day Challenge from Creative Bioscience which will have me eating in a healthy manner, counting calories and moving my body. Each day I plan on walking and listing here my results from the last week.
I would love for some of you to get involved, I could use the extra support frankly. If you blog feel free to link up your posts and if you don’t please, please comment so we can pat each other on the back and keep each other moving towards the healthy selves we’re seeking.

I applied. we’ll see what happens.
But either way, I’m on board for Motivated Mondays !!
I applied even though I’m kinda iffy on supplements. But since one of my goals is to *stop assuming* I’ll be open to it.
I’m already promising my readers a weekly segment for Fitness Fridays.
It was really popular when I shared my journey to lose 10 lbs this summer – http://mommytalkshow.com/news-information/fitness-friday-recap-videos-via-thommiodom-r2eden-cafephysique/

Im not familiar with this HCG plan but how could anyone not lose weight consuming only 1200 calories? I used one of those online calculators and based on activity level it said I needed 2300 per day to maintain 150 lbs . 1200 would be starvation I’d think…
Unfortunately I’m not 150 pounds yet but if you research you’ll see that 1200 calories doesn’t actually bring a body into starvation mode.
Lisa H says
I did – by Livestrongs website but there are many more that say the same.
While 1200 calories is the minimum calories to maintain normal metabolic function, in general women need between 1,600 and 2,400 calories per day. If you are adding regular workouts then you are burning 300+ calories – you’ll actually burn more if heavier.
But however you go about it, good luck to you! I lost 60 lbs. 2 years ago and I know I’D starve on only 1200 calories.

Sorry but 1200 is definitely not starvation mode. 2300 calories a day is actually fairly high unless you are nursing. I did Weight Watchers for years and never did I come close to being told I need 2300 calories a day.

I am on a journey as well. The hardest part for me is giving up the emotional eating. I have started making juices and smoothies to get more fruits & veggies into my diet…it’s not a quick journey, that’s for sure!

Can’t wait to see how you do! Good luck!
