Easter Mocktail Sober JulieEaster is on its way and I have decided to ramp up my Mocktail recipes to celebrate the season!

I’ve been having fun with folks on my Facebook page recently, inviting them to guess the ingredients I’m using and this one was guessed quite early.

Ingredients:

  • 1 large banana
  • 3/4 cup nonfat or low-fat milk
  • 1 drizzle of honey (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup frozen or fresh raspberries
  • 1 cup frozen or fresh mango
  • Lots of ice cubes

Preparation:

  • Place first 4 ingredients into a blender with a handful of ice and blend on medium until it reaches the desired consistency
  • In two bowls separate 1/3 of the mixture into each, leaving 1/3 in the blender
  • Add raspberries into blender with more ice and blend on medium until desired consistency
  • Pour raspberry mixture into glasses
  • Rinse blender and transfer 1 bowl of banana/vanilla smoothie mixture into blender
  • Add mango and more ice and blend on medium until desired consistency
  • Pour mango mixture into glasses on top of raspberry layer
  • Top each glass with banana/mango mixture from remaining bowl and garnish as desired

Easter Mocktail

Note: You may find you need to small amounts of liquid (water or milk) into the blender with each addition of fruit and ice.
