#WWEMoms Make A Wish World Wish Day Twitter Party

It’s no secret that I admire people who seek to help others. It is my firm belief that this is our true purpose in life, to help ourselves to flourish by helping others. One of the organizations I am deeply touched by is the Make A Wish Foundation which grants the wishes of children who are dealing with life-threatening illnesses.

The Make A Wish Foundation began in 1980 with just one boy named Chris Greicius whose dreams of becoming a police officer were granted by the efforts of a US Customs Officer and a group of Arizona Department of Public Safety personnel. 7-year-old Chris was being treated for leukemia and had no idea that is wish would become the spring-board for the largest wish granting organization in the world!

Today there is a network of nearly 25,000 volunteers which enable the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Volunteers serve as wish granters, fundraisers, special events assistants and in numerous other capacities.

Today as I write this, I’m in awe of the number of children Make A Wish has touched. The counter on their website currently says 233,856 Wishes Granted, a wish every 38 minutes!

WWE Star John Cena #1 Wish Maker

Once again I’m a proud #WWEMoms and am happy to share more information with you. I’ve blogged about WWE Superstar John Cena being the #1 Wish Maker for the Make A Wish Foundation when he hit his 300th wish granted. The WWE has had a 30 year relationship with Make A Wish and continue to support them today.

Donate Air Miles and WWE Star John Cena will Match It

April is a very special month for Make A Wish as they celebrate World Wish Day on April 29th. This year alone 10,000 wish kids will take a flight for a Make a Wish experience. Why not help by donating your Air Miles or dollars? It’s very simple, just head here and click the button, you WILL be making a difference!

As an incentive, WWE Superstar John Cena will personally match every frequent flier mile donated in April, up to 4.5 million.
