Celebrate #MomsMeTime with a $100 LuLuLemon Giveaway

Share Button

As a Mom I’m a firm believer of finding some “MeTime” to dedicate to yourself. These days it’s so difficult to find even 5 minutes some days with the kids home, the dog going crazy and life just being life…..but taking time to rest and recharge is invaluable for peace of mind.

Now some of you are probably laughing at me because your children are scampering around your feet or someone needs your attention, but I am really encouraging you to focus upon your own health in some way right now.

Are you tired, over-worked, ignoring stress or would just love a little bit of the day for yourself?

I give you permission to take that time, believe me when I say that it’s not in your best interest to become run down and exhausted.

Do something kind for yourself! Pick up that book you’ve been meaning to read, meet with a good friend or hey how about beginning a new activity? Whatever it is, don’t wait…now is the time to jump into positive changes!

To celebrate this #MomsMeTime focus I’ve teamed up with some pretty fabulous women, Stacie, Tammi, Jody, Stacey and myself are happily treating 1 Canadian to a shopping trip to LuLuLemon with a $100 gift card!!!

Who can say no to a LuLuLemon giveaway?

gift-cards-manifesto-EN-250x155

Nothing says #MomsMeTime like $100 to spend on yourself! Good luck everyone, we hope you enjoy this giveaway.

This giveaway ends on August 19th, open to Canadian residents.

a Rafflecopter giveaway

You are spot on. Moms need to take care of ourselves so we can take care of others. Played tennis with a friend yesterday afternoon. Felt guilty on the way there because there were other things I could have been doing around the house but felt great on the way home.. Far more productive as it cleared my mind and boosted my soul.

Hey Julie, Just found your blog through Healthline and the 15 Best Alcoholism Health Blogs of 2013 : D

Everyday I try to walk in the morning and every night I watch TV or a movie for at least an hour, (reading puts me to sleep) – it helps me shut my brain off for awhile and relax.. It may sound boring but it’s my routine and it keeps my batteries charged and my mind clear for everything in between : D

I take time for myself when I practice yoga. I’m not a huge yogi or into fitness in general but I’m thankful for every time I take time to care for my mind and body. And most recently taking the time out of the week to spend with my new boyfriend has been a great way for me to escape the stress of the work week. Sometimes i’m too scatterbrained during my yoga practice but spending time with my boyfriend has been the best escape. :)

I don’t get much alone time with a three year old at home and a classroom with 5 babies at work. I take care of myself by keeping up with regular doctor’s check ups for some ongoing health problems. I finally realized that putting my health on the back burner was not going to help me effectively care for my loved ones, now or in future.

Running my own business is hard work and often involves working 7 days a week. To stay sane, I walk my dogs every day through the ravine areas for at least one hour and train twice a week with a trainer. Books are another source of downtime. But, most important of all, I make time for my friends with regular lunches, book club and girls’ nights out. New LuLuLemon pants would be perfect for dog walking and my workouts.
