Pomegranates are a fruit which originated in Persia but now is found worldwide in drier climates. Pomegranates grow on shrub like bushes and have a thick outer skin. Pomegranates are one of the healthier foods you can eat. High in antioxidants, potassium, vitamin C, and a great source of fiber, pomegranates pack a nutritional punch that most foods can’t come close to! A glass of pomegranate juice has more antioxidants than green tea, blueberries, and cranberries.
