VTech InnoTab 3 Review & Giveaway

I was recently contacted to do a review of the VTech InnoTab 3 which is a nifty toy currently on the market. It gives children a chance to have a tablet of their very own!

My girls are definitely what I’d call techies which is a blessing but also can become a challenge. We are always on the lookout for electronics where we can control their exposure to online content, yet which gives them age-appropriate learning opportunities.

The InnoTab 3 comes in two colours – blue and pink – and includes:

Our Review

The girls really liked the VTech InnoTab, they enjoyed exploring the games available on the Learning Lodge to download. We connected the unit to the computer and downloaded their top choices. There are over 350 education games, e-books, music, videos all specifically designed for your children’s age.  You can also use cartridges which are great if your child enjoys trading games with friends.

One thing my girls liked was the ability to create individual accounts on the InnoTab. When they opened it up they would be prompted to select a user, this meant that their own progress in games would be saved and easy for them to continue playing. At an age where ownership of things means a lot to them, this was a BIG deal.

There is a camera on the InnoTab 3, the girls had fun playing with it. They made videos and took photos and enjoyed showing them off to their friends. The one tip my 7 year old has is to take pics in a well lit room or the images just won’t show up well.

Within some of the games the girls used the tilt-sensor, it was pretty neat to have the InnoTab respond the the tilting within the game. This reminded them of the other tablets they’ve used and gained their respect quickly.

My girls love the InnoTab, it’s a great unit which I’d recommend to anyone with children who are interested in electronic learning.

  56. Our 4 y.o.boy would love this! He keeps telling us his computer isn’t working so he needs one (he does not have a computer or anything else to that effect, so i think i know why it isn’t working…)

  120. i would love to win this for my 2 year old son. He is so smart, he knows his alphabet and can count to 12 he has taken over my ipad , constantly taking photos! this is the perfect thing for him to continue learning and would help me get my iPad back
