Good for You Green Smoothie Recipe

Share Button

Listen I may be a smoothie lover but somehow up until now I’ve avoided trying one of the many green smoothie recipes which I’ve come across. I would love to tell you it’s because I just haven’t had the time but honestly it’s because the colour turned me off. I have this innate reflex to turn my nose up at any food that is good for me and generally speaking green foods are just that. Put me at a table with lovely carbs, fatty cheeses and a bunch of lean meats and bed and my inner foodie screams for the not -so good for me choices. Thankfully I have a smarter side, one which is health focused and much braver than weak Julie. This week I took the plunge and made myself my first green smoothie recipe.

I found this green smoothie recipe in my KitchenAid Diamond Blender package which I’m reviewing…yup she’s a beauty and so is this simple, healthy recipe.

Just like my Energy Boost Fruit Smoothie this one is simple!

I would say the pineapple used in both, as well as the almond milk found in the Energy Boost Smoothie.

Raspberries would be my favourite ingredient in the Energy Boost Smoothie and Kiwi in the Good for You Green Smoothie.

This looks awesome! Love how simple it is too :)

You’re definitely not alone in having avoided green smoothies for so long! A lot of people seem to think they’re going to taste awful but this one is perfect proof they don’t have to!
