Philly Swiss Steak Wrap – WIN 8 Dempster’s Coupons #WrapItUp

Share Button

As the Fall sets in our family just becomes busier. Somehow the lazy days of summer are gone and we’re suddenly on a timeline again. This means I need to be able to plan and get nutritious foods into the kids QUICKLY!

I often turn to wraps because our kids love them and it’s simpler to grab one on the run. Today I’m sharing my rendition of a Philly Swiss Steak Wrap which I made using Dempster’s wraps.

Philly Swiss Steak Wrap

Philly Swiss Steak Wrap

Ingredients:

dempsters

  • Your favourite steak, already cooked and chopped into bite sized pieces
  • 7 slices of swiss cheese
  • 5 mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/2 red onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon coarse black pepper (or less if you prefer)
  • 4 Dempster’s wraps
  • Lettuce to garnish

Preparation:

Begin by sautéing your mushrooms and onion on medium-high heat until they are soft. Then add in the butter and once melted pour in the heavy cream and stir in the steak. Now break 3-5 pieces of swiss cheese into pieces and add into the mixture, stirring constantly until fully melted.

Beef Swiss melt sauce

Allow to simmer for approximately 5 minutes until the sauce fully heats and thickens up. Place your wraps onto plates and spoon the gorgeous steak and sauce mixture onto each one. Top with a slice of swiss cheese and lettuce, roll and enjoy!

I love making frozen wrap snacks. I make them with chicken, beef or other leftover meats, etc from dinners or even with fruit and cheese. I roll ’em up, make a sweet little personalized instruction note to slap on the finished product & I stick it in the freezer for quick snacks, lunches & breakfasts on the go!

Our Family loves wraps. We usually make fajitas once a week. My two sons take chicken wraps to school for their lunches. Chicken, sour cream, salsa and shredded cheese! I have never had a steak and cheese wrap, but it looks good and should give it a try. Thanks Julie!

I love breakfast wraps. I blend up some eggs, green onions and spinach, and then I cook them up and put them on a wrap with some cheese and a bit of spice.

    It’s the perfect breakfast!

Eggs and cheese are a must, followed by whatever else I have on hand…..I’ve made them with spinach and sausage, bacon, corn, salsa and sour cream (yes, for breakfast, I’m a strange one haha), mushrooms and ham, etc. The possibilities are endless!
