WIN a KitchenAid Diamond Blender & Berry Smoothie Recipe #KADiamondBlender

Blenders have become the bane of my existence! There is nothing more frustrating that trying to whip up a Mocktail or smoothie only to have the ice caught in the blade of a blender. Usually I have to unplug the thing and begin prying the ice out to get things moving. It’s definitely a first world problem but one that could easily raise my blood pressure far too high. KitchenAid recently tasked me with testing out the new KitchenAid Diamond Blender and I was amazed to see that I just couldn’t jam this sucker up!

Standalone_1175X1290

As of today I’ve made 3 smoothie recipes, 2 Mocktails and many purees using ice and not once did it jam. This is a gorgeous machine and it performs wonderfully!

Recipes Made with KitchenAid Diamond Blender

Last week I shared two recipes 20 second smoothie recipes with you which I made using the KitchenAid Diamond Blender. The first was the Energy Boost Smoothie which was in the recipe card which came with my blender. It is a gorgeous blend of fruits to fuel you up!

The second is the Good for You Green Smoothie, this recipe also came with the blender and I must admit I wish I’d tried a green smoothie sooner because it’s delicious!

Today I’m happy to share yet another recipe which I made using the diamond blender, I know you’ll all appreciate the fact that it only takes 20 seconds to make and it’s oh-so delicious!

What I love:

For the Energy Boost Fruit Smoothie I love all the ingredients except banana. Just never really liked them. I am sure that it would still be good with the other ingredients as I like all of them in particular the strawberries and Greek yogurt.

The Good for You Green Smoothie is certainly interesting. I do like all of the ingredients but am very curious about how cucumber would taste with everything else. Mind you, now they make many more juices that contain both fruit and vegetables so it would likely appeal to me even though it seems odd. I do love pineapple and kiwi so that would likely overpower the vegetable flavour. I guess I better try them both out and make an educated decision. ;-)

    Almond Milk…
I’ll bet the addition of the almond milk makes the Energy Boost smoothie extra creamy.
Sometimes fruit with high water content can make (for lack of a more clever adjective) a watery drink.
Very smart to use the almond milk … and it has so many wonderful vitamin alphabets.
    Aloha.

p.s. I heart pineapple too – have to say that or they may vote me off the island (berlygirlmaui)

I think that both the Energy Boost Fruit Smoothie, and the Good for you Green smoothie would be hits in my home!
    The Green Smoothie:
    1 cup cucumbers, diced
    1 cup pineapple chunks
    1 kiwi
    1 tablespoon honey
    1/2 cup ice
    1 cup water

All of that would be super good, I’d probably add in some crushed almonds for fun.
My old blender just bit the dust in May, so my 1 year old doesn’t even get smoothies at home. Thanks so much for the chance! (fingers crossed)

I can’t really choose just one. I like them all. However if I was to choose just one it would be the banana in the Energy Boost and the pineapple in the Good for You Smoothies.
