It’s almost Christmas and I’m super excited to be joining some wonderful bloggers to offer up a week of Holiday Appetizers for our readers! This week I’ll be sharing 5 of our favourites, they’re simple and oh-so delicious..now onto Day 31.
Once upon a time my husband and I fell in love with the Feta Bruschetta served at Shoeless Joe’s (a restaurant near us). We really enjoyed how they used a balsamic glaze and ranch dressing on top. We couldn’t justify spending the money on eating out each time we felt like it so we’ve recreated it here at home.
Since then we’ve served this at many events and each time people devour it and ask for the secret. The blend of the ranch dressing, bruschetta and balsamic glaze just work, every time.
Feta Bruschetta
INGREDIENTS:
- Ciabatta bread, cut into your choice of serving size. We buy the mini sized and cut into half.
- Garlic butter – we used store bought this time.
- Bruschetta – amount is to taste – we used 1/2 cup
- Feta cheese – amount is to taste – we used 1/2 cup
- Balsamic glaze – approx 1/2 cup
- Ranch dressing – approx 1/2 cup
PREPARATION
Begin by spreading garlic butter onto your ciabatta bread. Place onto a baking sheet and broil until they are golden brown.
Place the garlic toast onto your serving dish and dress each piece with bruschetta.
Then gently sprinkle feta cheese on top, drizzle the balsamic glaze and ranch dressing on top and voila! Don’t forget to offer napkins, this one can be a messy appetizer but it’s so worth it.
This is a very simple appetizer which your guests will enjoy!
