I LOVE Pinterest, like spend far too much time pinning images, run to it when looking for something LOVE it. While writing this, I’ll be assuming that you know and adore Pinterest like I do…so if you haven’t yet discovered this virtual bulletin-board go check it out now.
As a blogger, I’m always trying to find new ways to share my work with you all. When it comes to my recipes there is no better way that by adding high-quality images to my Pinterest boards. As of today I have loaded 2, 200 pins which are organized into 92 boards. These include my own recipes and those I have found on the internet.
Introducing Pinterest Recipe Search
Pinterest has recognized the Recipe category as one of their busiest and has been working to make the Pinning experience easier. They just introduced a recipe search function which will make things easier for all of us to specify exactly what we’re looking for.
In the image above I typed in “chicken stuffed with asparagus” and Pinterest gave me the initial search. There is also a new search clarification (on the right) where I can specify if I’d like to see pins from others or just my own. I can also refine my search by my dietary choices; Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten Free, Paleo and indulge me…which means you don’t really care about dietary restrictions.
I’ve also used this to search out Mocktail recipes of course and the options are the same.
This change makes it much easier for us to find recipes which are appropriate for our lifestyles. Now I won’t have to look through the yummy choices which I’m staying away from when looking for a recipe. I’m all about removing temptation when possible!
Thanks Pinterest for continuing to make things easier, I’ll do my best to format my recipes so they can be pulled properly.
Do you use Pinterest….if so make sure you’re following me and leave me a comment with your profile info so I can follow you!
Thanks for the easy explanation about how this works Julie!

No problem Carol, so happy to see they’re making it easier for us
Wow! This is so cool! I’m pretty excited because it can be a little challenging to search for a recipe on Pinterest, but now it looks like it’s going to be a lot simpler and more successful ;)
