Raspberry Banana Protein Smoothie Recipe

For anyone who is looking to improve their health, protein is an essential part of a healthy diet.  The amino acids in protein are an essential part of building healthy tissue, like muscle, and they also create antibodies and help form new blood cells. Trust me when I tell you that all of this is good, by increasing protein we are helping our bodies. It’s recommended that adults have between 50 to 175 g of protein per day and one of the easiest ways to do this is by choosing a smoothie recipe which is high in protein.

In my Raspberry Banana Protein Smoothie recipe below, you’ll see that I chose to use Naturegg Simply Egg Whites from Burnbrae Farms.

I decided to use them because is made from 100% pure egg whites. Just egg whites! Egg whites have absolutely no fat or cholesterol in them, however, they are packed with high quality protein and a source of 3 vitamins and minerals and are pasteurized.

Wow, this is actually a great idea. Egg whites in a smoothie??? Okay, honestly, I would have never thought of that . I will have to try this out, with all the working out I have been doing I need this! The no cholesterol thing is a bonus for someone my age!

Thats a brilliant idea! I would never thought of using egg whites in smoothie, but that would make sense now… because we beat egg whites until foamy in souffle and cakes, than why not in a smoothie?
Your post absolutely surprised me. I was expecting protein shake as adding protein powder like most smoothie recipes. I love your idea!

Looks delicious and low calories! You have to be careful with smoothies, they could pack up lots of sugar and calories!
