Skinny Raspberry Milkshake Recipe

Share Button

Valentines Day is closer than I’d thought, apparently in my kids eyes it’s “Like really, really soon!”. Talk about feeling under pressure, man these kids know how to put the squeeze on. In light of this I’ve been frantically planning some crafts and treats for us to make for Valentines Day.

At the top of Sydney’s list was a dessert, but not cake and no cookies….and…and. To simplify this I allowed her to head to Pinterest and have a look around. She found a strawberry milkshake recipe which she simply HAD to have so today we searched through the freezer and pantry to see what we could pull together.

In the end we concocted a delicious Skinny Raspberry Milkshake which has only 194 calories, not bad for a dessert this good!

Skinny Raspberry Milkshake

(Serves 2 – 8oz glasses)

Skinny Raspberry Milkshake Long

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup non-fat frozen yogurt
  • 1/2 cup skim or non-fat milk
  • 1 cup frozen raspberries
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 packet sugar substitute

PREPARATION:

Add all of the ingredients into the blender and blend on high until smooth. You may find you need to stir it a few times and if you have a helper, watch they don’t eat the ingredients!

Sydney Making a Skinny Raspberry Milkshake

It was a great experience developing this one with Sydney, in the end she is quite pleased with herself and gives it a thumbs up. Please note, the nutritional info is for a glass size much larger than this!

Stay tuned, over the next few weeks I’ll be bringing along more treats and crafts for Valentines Day. Fingers crossed there are no more days where the kids are off school due to cold weather but if there is, the kids will be busy assisting!

This looks absolutely fabulous Julie! I love that it is a better choice than a full calorie shake AND the size of those adorable glasses is just perfect!
