As you may know my family has just returned from a road trip to South Carolina where were got on a 5 day cruise to the Bahamas. This trip was 10 days in total and had us crossing the border into the United States and also into the Caribbean.
One of the things which I knew I had to take care of was my smartphone package, there was NO way I wanted to be faced with a massive bill upon return.
Telus Travel Pass & Travel Tracker
We are Telus customers and they really make travelling with your smartphone easy, they have many plans for travelling and I used their US and Caribbean Travel Passes to make life easier.
With the Telus Travel Passes, you choose your destination and save from 50 to 90 per cent off regular pay-per-use rates, including TELUS’ new US, Mexico, Caribbean and Cuba travel passes which offer more options at lower prices.
Knowing I had 300MB of data available in each country for the set rate is find and dandy but I had to keep track and make sure I didn’t go over. The Telus Travel Tracker is a simple way to do this.
Each time I entered a new country, I received a text message informing me of the country’s rates and providing me with the link to the Travel Tracker portal. Once I received this text, I just logged into t.telusroam.com on my browser and it kept me updated on my usage.
