By the time I was 27 years old, I ‘d pretty much given up on meeting the “right” guy. I had spent my childhood believing that I’d find a knight in shining armour, my teens beginning the search and my 20’s beginning to doubt that he existed. Like many women, I’d been hurt and disappointed so many times that I felt it was not going to happen for me and instead I began to focus on my career and having fun with friends.
Little did I know that I’d randomly meet the most wonderful man at a friend’s event and love would strike both of our single-selves dead. We began dating and aside from all of his other amazing attributes one that stuck out for me was that this guy can COOK. My husband has a passion for food and over the last 13 years together, he has taught me so much and proven time and again that he is naturally gifted with more culinary talent than I’ll ever be.
There is one thing that he cannot do well, and that is baking. Somehow his baked goods just never quite hit the mark and of course once I saw this gap in his repertoire, I jumped to hone my own skills. His favourite dessert which I happen to be quite gifted with is cheesecake. If you ask anyone who has ever attended a wedding or event which served cheesecake, they’ll attest to his love because he’s usually the one scooping up the extra servings.
This week my fellow #FridayRecipeClub bloggers chose cheesecake recipes as the theme. I’m happily sharing all of the recipes here because I intend to make each one for my awesome husband!

I love Cheesecake and some of these recipes are great and I need to make the Strawberry Cheesecake one for the 4th of July!
Yum! Who doesn’t love cheesecake? I’m thinking people that can cook can’t bake as I have the same problem! I can cook you up a surf & turf, escargo gratiné and even cordon blue but my baking never turns out the way it’s supposed to either! I’ve never been one for baked goods other than cookies & pie so the love doesn’t go into the baking, lol. Can’t wait to see pics of your cheesecake dishes :)
Going to try the cheesecake smoothie soon, looks so yummy!
