If you love peanut butter as much as my family does, you’ll be jazzed about the news I’m sharing. There is a new cereal out there just for us…Special Edition Peanut Butter Cheerios are now on grocery store shelves and let me tell you they are DELICIOUS!
We received a box of Special Edition Peanut Butter Cheerios in the house on a morning when some of the neighbourhood kids had gathered at our house. This is quite common, we often have gaggles of little ones knocking on the door to play at 8am. This was the perfect time to have each of us try out a bowl and get some unbiased opinions. Kids are awesome for this, they have NO qualms about telling me if they don’t like something.
The kids took it very seriously! I poured them each a bowl, added in the milk and presented it in front of them at the table. Each of them took their time to bend over their bowls and take a long deep smell. There were excited cries of “It actually smells just like peanut butter!”.
I waited for their reactions but to be honest they just went utterly quiet and shovelled spoonfuls into their mouths. Finally Sydney gave me a thumbs up but I felt like an annoyance for asking them to look up and tell me their thoughts. I think this photo says it all. How DARE I interrupt them!
The kids final comments are that it is “delicious”, “yummy”, and “tastes like peanut butter”. They also polished off the box.
I managed to have a bowl myself before they cleaned me out and really enjoyed the cereal, it has a lovely peanut butter taste and is a fast favourite. I’m going to have to stock up because they’re only available for a limited time and I have a feeling these kids who gather here each morning of summer holidays will be asking for them.
