Our family loves to travel as my regular readers will know because being the social media lover that I am, I always share the fantastic destinations we travel to or interesting deals I come across. When we were first married, before the joys of parenthood my husband and I travelled together often.
It’s an entirely different experience travelling as a family, one that we adore BUT oh it’s difficult to find a moment alone as a couple when we travel with the children. We haven’t resented it but a few months back when the TBex North America Conference destination was announced as Cancun, my husband cheered and declared we’d use it as an excuse to travel without our children for the first time in YEARS.
Travelling Without Kids? Cancun, Mexico Here We Come!
We are heading to beautiful Cancun, Mexico to spend 7 days at the Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort which to us looks like a wee slice of heaven on Earth.
A seemingly boundless stretch of beautiful beach overlooking the Caribbean Sea is the backdrop for your elegant and fun-filled all-inclusive vacation. At Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort we offer you everything you need to enjoy an all-inclusive vacation.
I’m unsure wether it’s the gorgeous room (Superior Deluxe Ocean Front my friends), the $1500 resort credit, the massive grounds and activities or just the knowledge that we’ll be able to connect on a more intimate level that has us chomping at the bit to get going.
Get your mind outta the gutter friends, I don’t mean that kind of intimate! Well that may happen but in reality we’re at the point of burnout, we’re really forward to something as simple as an uninterrupted conversation.
Activities We Are Looking Forward To
- Making connections at the TBex Conference
- Listening to the sound of the waves from our Deluxe Ocean Front room at Moon Palace Resort
- Learning to surf at the Moon Palace Flow Rider
- Beachside Yoga
- Beachside Turtle Release
- Sushi Cooking Class
- XPlor Adventure Day
- Wireless Internet and unlimited phone calls to Canada from our room (because we really will miss the kids)
- Enjoying all the amenities of this 5 star resort – spa, casino, the dining and the casino to name a few
- Spending time just connecting with one another
Time away together is rare and we plan to make the most of it. We feel it’s important to reconnect with one another and remember why we’ve chosen each other as life partners, outside of being parents.
We have made plans for excursions and activities but have also scheduled some downtime because travelling without kids won’t be happening often and we’re in one of the most amazing resorts which cater to all types of expectations.
So make sure you’re following me on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to keep up with the action because I signed myself up for a fantastic data package from Telus which will allow me to be connected online for my entire stay no matter where we are in Mexico!
If you’re travelling soon and want to stay connected but don’t want the horror of a MASSIVE cell bill when you return, check out the Travel packages from Telus.
I look forward to sharing the entire experience with you all and blogging about our experiences but for now I’m off to pack!
Looks like a beautiful place! My and my boyfriend will be traveling to Peru in the next month with no kids, very excited!
