As the Autumn weather has set in I seem to be running around like mad. I haven’t found my groove yet, the kids have activities almost every evening and my work load has become heavy during the day which means in the end I find myself behind in my kitchen endeavours. It’s the time of year when I am usually finding peace in the kitchen using ingredients which can only be found in the fall…like pumpkin. Ok I can get pumpkin out of season but it’s just not the same.
I’ve been watching my fellow Foodies making some glorious pumpkin recipes and today I’m making a list and setting aside some time this weekend to get in the kitchen to create with pumpkin. This weekend is going to be busy because it’s Thanksgiving here in Canada but no worries, I’ve set aside time on Saturday before our family feasts to create and to relax. Do you find you are soothed when you get time in the kitchen? Honestly a high percentage of what I make isn’t fantastic but there’s nothing like the time alone with my hands in the ingredients to bring me back to the moment.
Before I get all moody and introspective, I’ll just go ahead and share some recipes from my friends’ which I think look delicious and of course include pumpkin in the ingredients.
