We are a grilling family! Given a choice we’d be outside all year long, preparing our dinners on the BBQ while enjoying the fresh air. Here in Canada the weather isn’t always conducive for this lifestyle…as you can imagine, it’s a pain in the butt to shovel a few feet of snow off of the BBQ. With Summer coming we are now revelling in our BBQ time! I have less dishes (whoohoo), the house is cooler and the flavours from the grill are oh-so-sweet. One grilling secret my husband taught me was how to BBQ corn in the husk…WHAT?
Yes it’s true, you don’t have to fish out a massive pot to prepare corn for dinner, just fire up the grill and in very little time you have some delicious corn to enjoy with your grilled dinner.
How to BBQ Corn – In The Husk
INGREDIENTS
- Corn in the husk…yup that’s it
PREPARATION
This may be the FASTEST how-to post I will ever write. It’s that EASY. Get ready because this will go quickly.
First step is to turn on the BBQ to medium heat. While it’s warming, soak your corn in the husk for about 20 minutes. Next put your corn onto the grill and shut the lid.
Allow the corn to cook for 20 minutes…go get a coffee or why not chill out on the deck and enjoy the weather. When you open the lid the husks will have a lovely charred look.
Now is the hard part (not really). Peel back the husks and enjoy your corn!
Just be careful…these babies are HOT! If you leave the husks closed, they will stay hot until everyone is ready to eat.
That’s it, the easiest way to BBQ Corn in the husks. 20 minutes of soaking and 20 minutes on the grill…YUM!
If you’re looking for a BBQ recipe to go with it, how about my Pesto-Stuffed Chicken Breast
or a No-Beer Can Chicken Recipe
Whatever you serve it with I promise you this will be some delicious corn…and you have no dishes!

That’s one thing I haven’t conquered yet. I always overcook.
