Westin Trillium House at Blue Mountain

Our Summer has begun with a bang! I arrived home from an amazing trip to Banff just in time to close out the school year and get the girls packed to head off for a 2 night stay at the Westin Trillium House at Blue Mountain Resort in Collingwood, Ontario. We enjoyed many Summer Activities at Blue Mountain because although it is known for its Winter sports, Blue is a FAB summer getaway.

Collingwood isn’t far from where we live, in fact it’s a place I’ve often visited but we were excited to have been invited to experience a few days there. Knowing I’d be coming back to you all and sharing our opinions, my daughters and I tried to experience as much as we could while there.

Our room was a gorgeous 2 Bedroom Deluxe Suite with one King bedroom and another bedroom with a double bed. As we walked in we entered a long hallway off of which is a small bathroom. I couldn’t get photos due to the size but it had a stand up shower, toilet and sink area. There was also a hall closet and the air conditioning controls.

At the end of the entrance hallway you walk into a grand space which holds the kitchen, living room and dining room. Off to the left is the 2nd bedroom which has a double bed, side tables, a TV and dresser. It’s a smaller room but has a cozy feel to it.

The kitchen is well appointed, with all of the items you can imagine including a dishwasher. The appliances are full sized and the countertops are granite. The island is the perfect space for enjoying cereal in the morning.

The living room has a vaulted ceiling and a walk out to a balcony. The couch (a pullout bed) and chair are comfortable and there is a gas fireplace for cozy evenings. We enjoyed watching TV together before bed and could have brought some movies to play on the DVD player.

The master bedroom had a King sized bed, fluffy pillows and a very nice mattress. This is super important to me and can make or break a stay. There is a closet and plenty of storage in the side tables and dresser. The alarm clock also has a docking station to charge phones which was nice.

Off of the master bedroom is the master bathroom which was a treat. Having 2 bathrooms made getting ready in the mornings much easier. The counter space was generous, the towels were soft and the lighting was perfect for the space.

westin-trillium-blue-mountain-suite-bathroomThe Westin House Blue Mountain has a pool, restaurant, kids club, spa, workout room and more. This suite is a large choice which was perfect for our 4 person family and would easily house 6.  The service was wonderful and the resort was spotless, although I would suggest that you avoid arriving right at the check in hour because the front desk is very busy.

Disclosure: In exchange for sharing our experience, Blue Mountain provided accommodations, food and activities during our stay. All opinions are my own.
