When I’m travelling, which seems to be quite often these days…I am intent on finding the least expensive way to stay connected online. I love sharing my travels with friends, family and followers but don’t want to pay a million bucks for international data. As 1 of 15 folks in Canada who have been chosen as a #TeamTelus Advocate, this year I will have access to information to pass along and the very first item is the new Telus US Easy Roam.
If you’re planning a trip to the US from Canada, you don’t have to pay a flat rate for the entire month anymore. Now you can extend your current rate plan for $7 a day while you’re travelling. Practically that means that you’d pay $48 to use your existing data plan while in the US for 7 days. This is far less than the costs in the previous packages where you’d buy an add on package on top of your existing plan.
The $7 fee is only applied when you make or receive a call, send a text or access data while roaming in the US. This to me is AMAZING!! If I do a jaunt over the boarder to do some shopping in Buffalo, I know that I will only be paying for the days when I’m acutally using my package in the US.
Times they sure are a changing!
