Delicious Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies
Serves: 3 doz
  • 2¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup room temperature unsalted butter
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 cup packed light-brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2-1/4 cups chocolate chips
  1. Preheat you oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Whisk the flour and baking soda together in a small bowl and set aside.
  3. Using a mixer on Medium speed with the paddle attachment, beat the butter and both sugars until light and fluffy.
  4. Change mixer setting to Low and add in salt, vanilla, and eggs. Beat for approximately 1 minute until well mixed and add in the flour mixture until it's combined.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  6. Chill your dough in the fridge until just chilled, this will prevent the cookies from over-spreading.
  7. Line you baking sheets with parchment paper and drop tablespoon sized balls approximately 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake until the cookies are soft in the centre and golden around the edges, approximately 10 minutes. Keep an eye on them as oven temperatures vary!
  9. Remove and allow to cool.
