With Spring around the corner I’m determined to continue eating healthy and fit into my Spring gear comfortably. I’ve been watching what I’m eating and making efforts to get in enough fruits and veggies throughout my day. For me this isn’t easy because believe it or not I don’t love fruit. GASP, it’s true! Today I’m sharing a smoothie recipe I’ve fallen in love with which uses the new Yoplait Source Greek Yogurt.

In order to get in my daily fruit requirement I’ve gotten into the habit of having a smoothie each afternoon. To be creative I’ve scoured blogs trying to find different smoothie recipe to try out and have modified them as time went on.

Greek yogurt is a product which I have always chosen to use, now with the Yoplait Source there are many flavors to choose from. It comes in a variety of sizes with seven tasty flavours to choose from get ready for sweet strawberry, creamy vanilla, zesty lemon, cherry and more.

This creamy greek yogurt is only 50 calories per serving, has no added sugar and twice the protein of regular Source yogurt which means that I can feel good about my afternoon snacks.

Fruity Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries
  • 1 frozen banana cut up
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 cup Yoplait Source Greek Yogurt (I chose Strawberry flavor)

Preparation:

Begin by cutting up the strawberries and banana.

Next place the berries, bananas, yogurt and orange juice into your blender and blend on medium until it reaches your desired consistency.

Now pour into your favorite glass, garnish with a strawberry and voila! You have a healthy, delicious snack.

    Julie, I think we’re opposites! I love most fruit, but yogurt has been a project…I think this post if another one of those ‘whispers’ Oprah refers to now and then! Because of you, I’ll give it a shot. I am a smoothie girl (but with FROZEN yogurt, there’s a difference…). Time to live on the edge, I guess. Baby steps. Good for you getting all healthy.
