Blenders have become the bane of my existence! There is nothing more frustrating that trying to whip up a Mocktail or smoothie only to have the ice caught in the blade of a blender. Usually I have to unplug the thing and begin prying the ice out to get things moving. It’s definitely a first world problem but one that could easily raise my blood pressure far too high. KitchenAid recently tasked me with testing out the new KitchenAid Diamond Blender and I was amazed to see that I just couldn’t jam this sucker up!

As of today I’ve made 3 smoothie recipes, 2 Mocktails and many purees using ice and not once did it jam. This is a gorgeous machine and it performs wonderfully!

Favorite ingredient is always the banana. Can’t have a good smoothie without it :) – Energy Boost
Favorite ingredient is pineapple. – Good for you green (have to admit, I didn’t think about adding a cucumber for a smoothie, I’ve had spinach in them though)

They both sound good. The one common ingredient that I really love is pineapple. Fresh pineapple is the best in smoothies and adds so much great flavour.

  16. Angela Mitchell says

  17. Karla Sceviour says

My favorite ingredient in the Green Smoothie is the pineapple chunks, and my fav in the Energy Boost Fruit Smoothie is the banana~~ They both sound really yummy!

  18. Jeannette Laframboise says

For the Energy Boost Fruit Smoothie I love all the ingredients except banana. Just never really liked them. I am sure that it would still be good with the other ingredients as I like all of them in particular the strawberries and Greek yogurt.

The Good for You Green Smoothie is certainly interesting. I do like all of the ingredients but am very curious about how cucumber would taste with everything else. Mind you, now they make many more juices that contain both fruit and vegetables so it would likely appeal to me even though it seems odd. I do love pineapple and kiwi so that would likely overpower the vegetable flavour. I guess I better try them both out and make an educated decision. ;-)

  19. Tara L says

Energy Boost Fruit Smoothie- I love that you used almond milk & raspberries & banana’s I”m not to thrilled about the pineapple, but I bet you can ‘t even taste them in the smoothie. I would of never realized to use almond milk in a smoothie I will deff. have to try that. I love everything about your energy boost smoothie it looks so delicious.

Good for You Green Smoothie- Looks a little interesting I love that you used kiwi & honey not so sure about the cucumbers, but something different. I will have to try!

  23. Kymberly Pray says

    Almond Milk…
I’ll bet the addition of the almond milk makes the Energy Boost smoothie extra creamy.
Sometimes fruit with high water content can make (for lack of a more clever adjective) a watery drink.
Very smart to use the almond milk … and it has so many wonderful vitamin alphabets.
    Aloha.

p.s. I heart pineapple too – have to say that or they may vote me off the island (berlygirlmaui)

  24. Cynthia Dingwell says

My favourite ingredient is always the fruit, especially raspberries. I hope to win your fabulous blender so I can make these amazing smoothies. Thanks, for having this awesome contest.

  27. Lori R says

I use kale, avocado, and a blackberry/raspberry/blueberry mix, with coconut water……….gives me lots of energy for a busy morning at work

  28. Holly says

Both those smoothies sound delicious. I’m a huge fan of cucumbers and add them to pretty much all of my smoothies or juice. Also love banana!

  29. Christy Martin says

My favorite ingredient is the almond milk, which is high in B12. However, I don’t drink it straight up and only occasionally use it for cereal. I would love work this into my diet at least a few times a week.

  30. JennyA says

I think that both the Energy Boost Fruit Smoothie, and the Good for you Green smoothie would be hits in my home!
    The Green Smoothie:
    1 cup cucumbers, diced
    1 cup pineapple chunks
    1 kiwi
    1 tablespoon honey
    1/2 cup ice
    1 cup water

All of that would be super good, I’d probably add in some crushed almonds for fun.
My old blender just bit the dust in May, so my 1 year old doesn’t even get smoothies at home. Thanks so much for the chance! (fingers crossed)

  31. Crystal says

I can’t really choose just one. I like them all. However if I was to choose just one it would be the banana in the Energy Boost and the pineapple in the Good for You Smoothies.
